About Elephants
Meet Josh (me), the founder of Elephants, and learn more about why I started Elephants and what I hope it becomes.
The Problem
In my role I have to do a lot of networking. For me, the relationships I build are not just datapoints, they're people that I want to remember to stay in touch with, to deliver on my promises to, and to keep track of my interactions with.

As I began meeting more and more people I needed a system to manage the important things (notes, reminders to follow up, and tasks).
​
Typically people use a CRM for this type of thing. The issue? CRM's were overkill, clunky, and hard to set up for the basic things I wanted to do with them. I didn't need 100 different integrations with 500 different platforms. I didn't want a massive spreadsheet with 1000's of names automatically imported to sort through.

I wanted a simple, straightforward spot to save my most important developing relationships and remember the important things.
The Solution
I ended up deciding to build a tool for myself that focused on the things that were most important to me- ease of use, clarity, and features that I needed for developing relationships.

With that in mind, Elephants is a platform with a super straight forward UI and basic but powerful tools for relationship development. You can easily store your developing relationships, track the important info, get reminded to follow up, and keep track of the promises you make. All without complex setup, integrations, multiple tools, clutter, or any of the other issues with existing options.

Furthermore, all of this is possible with texting, or using your voice, preventing you from having to do annoying data entry and upkeep.
The vision
My goal with Elephants is to make it easier for anyone who wants to develop deeper relationships to do so. I don't want relationship development to be locked behind hard to set up CRM's and systems, or confusing and frustrating integrations that need to be set up.

I hope to give a tool that's easy to use right out of the box, and has the features that are core to developing deeper relationships as used by people who network professionally.

I an ideal world, this would enable more people to be better at building and maintaining authentic relationships, truly getting to know one another as people, and not as datapoints.
The Founder
Hi, my name is Josh, I'm the Founder of Elephants.
​
I've always been interested in finding creative solutions to issues that exist, and helping other people do the same.
​
This passion has led me to my current full time job as the program manager for an entrepreneurship clinic in North Carolina. We provide support and guidance to student entrepreneurs, while also providing support and resources to real world founders, business leaders, and others.
​
Outside of my full time job, I love building things, relaxing with friends and family, and learning about things that interest me.
